i like the way the deer antlers echo the shapes in the Dana Gammage Johns' encaustic painting.

head and driftwood

found the head in cambridge, ma outside of famous architect's (gund) garbage can. i have no idea if the head is old or new, but it looks like it came off of a large figure. other found wood "sculptures" collected by my papaw (maternal grandfather) and mama jim (paternal grandmother).

these smack of my junior high locker photo-collage decorations. but i saw something like this in vogue a while back and loved the simple birch frames. i love having physical photos in my home- as it is less and less common with the digital revolution. i have made them with themes: family, friends, boston, nashville, kids, etc

happiness

one blue bird of happiness was given to me by my jr. high school basketball coach (coach blagg, i know i gave you headaches), the other two are from my grandma's husband steve, and the container was felix's grandmothers and holds pins, etc (note bill clinton and john kennedy campaign pins)
